Can someone tell me what's going on with my mangroves and if my macro algae is dying? I kind of got these mangroves and algaes out of nowhere so they got their own tank and I'm not well versed on what to do with them.....

Are those mangroves fully submerged?

Looks fully submerged to me. The mangroves should be placed so the bottom part is in water but the top part where leaves will emerge are above the water line. Otherwise as soon as leaves show they will rot away.

What macro is that? You said they are in their own tank. One concern that comes to mind is if the tank has any nutrients for them. You could use water from a display tank to put in for some nutrients. Also what kind of light is above them? That can make a big difference. If its strong there is usually a die back period before they regrow again.

Yup the mangrove's tip should be out of the water. I just started mangroves a couple months ago. I keep my SG a lot lower, dose iron. Water changes come from the display. I mist the leaves often.
A lot of light MH 250 watts 6 hours a day.

If the stalk feels mushy that is a bad sign.

Hi! The mangrove shouldn't be fully submerged. As for the macro the turning white is a sign is a good sign that it is dying. They can bounce back with the right care though :)
