macro algae and no light

the light on my macroalgae tank broke and I'm going on vacation until Thursday. Will my macro algae die without light for a week?

Leaving now? You could throw a $5 clamp on shop light and a 6500k spiral bulb over it for the time being. I don't think you'd even need a timer. Just leave it on.

thanks for the advice but I left already. if I have to worry about my macro dyingI will have my parents come to my house and set up a clamp light. but I don't wanna bother them unless I have to

The real worry (depending on what kind of macro you have) is the algae going asexual and spreading throughout your main display.
