Macro algae Id.

Anyone know what species this could be? It looks a lot like Seriatopora hystrix, but is a seaweed of some sort.

Exactly what I want to put in my display fuge. Hard to find one source to get algae from though.

I love my macro algae, the more species I can get the better, everytime I see someone selling one I order it. Lol

My refugium is lit with just a cheap LED flood light from Amazon but the algae just love it! I’m supplying my local f

I’ve just started a cylinder tank for softies and as many macro as I can find. This new one is sooooo promising I just can’t work out what species it is maybe a Furcellaria so?

I’m obsessed!

The closest I know is Sebdenia dichotoma, but that's native to the Mediterranean. So, maybe a different Sebdenia sp. or a Galaxaura sp.?

Im trying to get someone local to work with me they have a bunch like that to add into my display fuge.. I cant do my main reef with all the tangs and urchin. That would be a very expensive snack.

Sebdenia dichotoma

Thank you! Sebdenia dichotoma Looks very similar and even has a similar looking texture and colour. I’ll have to wait and see how it grows out, but that’s a much better match to anything else I’ve found so far. I’m combing the web. Lol

It’s colouring up pink but not grown much larger yet, I’ll get a photo soon.
