Ive been looking at different threads about this and I want to keep a little macro in my display. I got this stuff from a seahorse tank at work. Anyone know what it is, and is it safe to try (wont take over). I used a blade to get it and it even has a nice, flat base for glueing. Also, this other algae is in there as well. I picked every little piece i could off of the nicer algae. Would you recommend i try this, or dont do it for fear of a take over?

@GOSKN5 has some sweet macro in his 120 i believe. I am no expert but if it were me I would put that stuff back in the work tank (or throw it away) and buy some fresh/clean/prettier macros online. Definitely dont want that stuff on the right........

Thanks. I would love something that sways in the current, serves as a slight nutrient sink, and is not invasive. If nobody can help here, do you recommend any vendors? Preferably that i can call and use a credit card. I agree the green stuff is very weedy and messy.

I keep String of Pearl in my Display tank , Its red and actually looks nice to me.

Both of those algae's look like what grows all over the sea here in New York. I sometimes collect algae in the summer to add to my tank as I think it looks nice. This is codium, very common here but it only lives a few months in a tank.
