Macro algae root or worm?

Found this on my live rock, not connected to anything but the rock itself. It was fairly long and was in a pattern of inverted "U"s making it look wavy and like a pattern.

Not sure if these are Margarita or Nassarius snail eggs, though they might be Cerith eggs. Margarita (misidentified Tegula) have circular eggs, Cerith lay somewhat similar chains of eggs (variation depends on species), and Nassarius lay sheets of eggs. Do you have any sea hares?

Edit: didn't catch the part about inverted U's, so Cerith eggs are probably the eggs in question.
