Need to raise some money to get started on culturing food for some pipefish babies.

Algae gets packaged individually and labeled as you can see in pictures.

I ship via USPS Priority Mail in an Insulated box with a minimum of 1/2 inch Styrofoam. Heat pack or cool pack included as necessary. If your temperatures are too low or high, The package will need to be held at your local USPS Hub for pick up. It is a lot easier for me to ship in colder weather than very hot. If your highs are 85 or above, the package will need to be held for pickup.

Sweet I am interested in a pack.

Which ones need sand to grow?

Which one can take over you tank ?

What us the care level of them. Are they all expert level or only one or two.

Might sound like a lot of questions but I am newbie in macro algae dept.

I can Google using scientific names ad learn which I will,
But in the mean time thought I will ask from the guy who is growing them succesfully.

None of them actually need sand to grow. Caulerpa sertulariodes, mexicana and prolifera do well with spreading their roots through the sand. So does Cymopolia barbata, You however do not need to do that. They will grow on rocks as well as in sand.

IMHO any algae has the ability to take over your tank. I trim often, have a fairly stable tank, have a high bioload in my primary algae tank and it has worked for me.

Care level for all of these algaes are medium-easy. I haven't heard any problems with people I have sold this type of pack to. They all grow pretty fast , the caulerpa will grow faster.

You will find out a lot of people having different experiences with everything when googling.

Touching is no problem. It depends how much flow you have. You can rubberband. You can superglue. You can smash between rocks. You can let it do whatever it wants if you don't have a ton of flow.

Are you still shipping this macro algae pack? Also, are you willing to substitute something else for the caulerpa in the pack? It is considered an invasive species here in Michigan and as I work for the state environmental control department, it wouldn't look good if I accidentally let any "get away" from me and into the wild. I would still be interested even if not as I don't have to use it. Thanks
