What kind of lighting do I need for a macro/seahorse tank? dimensions are 24x24x30....I have a lot of ledges though, so I can raise things up on to be closer to the lighting.
generally any decent light is good for growing macroalgae to a degree however most lights specialised to do this such as the ai prime refugium are not designed for looks and will give your tank a very purple look which IMO isn’t appealing. Algae for better or worse seems to grow under any light and fish don’t seem to mind any light as long as it’s not too dim or too bright and for cost effectiveness I reccomend a led for your tank. It’s up to you what one you choose
A HD 26 is a great light that can be set from dim to bright. And can have sunrise and sunset. Any spectrum under the sun. I have two over my read sea 350. You will only need 1.
