Try dosing a little bit of iron that seems to help with the green leafy plants.

Has the nitrate and phosphate levels declined?

Do you dose trace elements?

looks kinda like prolifera … slowing down is one thing, if the leaves start to get translucent I’d pull it…

as far as the dark veins, it could be iron chlorosis …not sure if I spelled it right

Trace elements as in what exactly I just put it in and it was doing fine but now it’s not

if I do trace elements what kind should I use

My questions were directed at finding out more about your system before offering an opinion.

What are the nitrate and phosphate concentrations?

Nitrate is apparently 0 I only have 2 clowns a cleaner shrimp and a porcelain crab in a 20 gal(clowns are babies) before I added the macro algea it was just below 0.5ppm

phosphate is between 0.01ppm and 0.02ppm

guessing it’s lacking nitrate so how would I add that back into the water for salt I know I can get flourish nitrogen for freshwater is there something like that for saltwater ?

many tips would be appreciated
It was growing well till I’m guessing the nitrate depleated
The light I have is an aqueon planted clip light

I think you have it. Seaweed needs nitrate and phosphate at a minimum to grow. If you have a large amount of it, trace elements might become depleted.

I tend to want to just fix things, so, I would dose sodium nitrate and a dash of phosphate because once it is growing again the phosphate level will plummet. Not unlike gardening.

Sodium nitrate where do I find that ? And how do I dose phosphate again I know hot to in freshwater but not in salt

I would look for it online, either food grade or from a pet supply company that sells water additives though it will be more expensive.

What you mean that you know how to dose freshwater but not saltwater?

Seachem freshwater iron is same for saltwater. looking at the yellow coloring of your Caulerpa Prolifera, you have an iron deficiency.

it seems to be doing better today I fed a bit more and that’s what I meant I didn’t know if seachem adatives were okay for salt as they are for fresh since I have never heard of them used in salt before didn’t know if they would be safe for the inverts and not react with the salt
