Parameters are great. Macro is healthy and alive and my refugium is FULL of algae like a thick black web like algae that's covering my refugium bed and other types, yet I have no growth.

My macro has been the same size since month 1, of course the tank is the only 6 months old my grow light I got off amazon stays on 24/7.

I have calupera and chaeto that are about the size of a baseball and do not turn they just float. My dt has no algae also, which is great but I currently am battling the heck out of cyano which I just got about a month ago.

What are your nitrates and phosphates at?

What light do you use in your refugium and for how many hours a day?

I put this all in the post, but 7 nitrates and .05 phosphate. 24 hrs a day, and a pink amazon grow light generic brand very strong

I would start by reducing lights to 8-12hrs.

You may dose some iron as well and see if things improve in a week or so.

Ok I'll try that I figured cyano is results of my phosphates

I usually see more cyano when my nitrate is nearly 0 you may want to see if you are getting a accurate reading, Cyano could be starving out some of the macro grown. I know it can be scary but chemiclean seems to be the way to go on killing cyano. I have a planted refugium myself and have had difficulty with similar issues when Nitrate and Phosphate are nearly undetectable.

Any other idea iron didnt hell

What type of iron are you dosing?

Can you increase the flow in your refugium with a powerhead?

Cyanobacteria can fix nitrogen from the air, so it doesnt need nitrogen from the water column(such as nitrates).
