Is this an actual picture, or is this the picture above it zoomed in? If so, what lens and body? It's striking!

The first photo is the full frame 24M pixel image, and the second is a 100% zoom crop of the full photo. This was shot on a Nikon D610 with Nikon 200mm f/4 macro lens.

These images are straight from the camera with no filters or Photoshop editing.

So no post editing, but it is zoomed in. Either way, amazing clarity. I just got a new Canon 100mm IS. I am having a ball with it.

Just to clarify and make sure we're all on the same page: The 2nd shot is "zoomed in" as you described it, but it's actually showing the image at the native resolution of the camera. Technically, the 1st photo is "zoomed out" to be able to fit the screen. The original 24MP image is 6016 x 4016 pixels, but it's scaled down to only 1440 x 900 pixels for viewing on this forum and to reduce the upload file size.

To put it a different way, I'm looking at these photos on my 13" MacBook laptop with a screen resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. To view the entire image at the native 6016 x 4016 resolution, I'd need a 54" laptop screen.

@erk You and I have the same lens! I absolutely love mine. I'm shooting with a Nikon D610. You can find many of my macro shots in my build thread if you're interested.

@SuncrestReef What tripod is that? I need one!! My cheap tripod can’t get the top down angle at all.

The tripod is a MeFOTO Classic Roadtrip. https://www.amazon.com/MeFOTO-Classic-Aluminum-Roadtrip-Monopod/dp/B00BETIVWK

For top-down shots, it’s a delicate balance to stand the tripod flush against the cabinet and glass, then angle the camera over the edge of the glass. But it works. I also use a wireless shutter release because touching the camera at all could cause too much vibration since the tripod legs aren’t spread in the normal position.

Pretty much what I do too, just with a cheaper (flimsier) tripod.
