Macro shots

After reading several R2R photography threads I finally tried to put it to use.
My camera is a Nikon D5100 w macro lens. Gear used includes a tri-pod and wireless remote.

Very nice shots! A few are has the color blown out and are a little blurry but overall great start! Are you using a tripod? Also are you doing any post processing?

Agreed, great shots. My only two suggestions would be to change your metering to center weighted and use a bit smaller aperture to get a little more depth of field. Maybe f/11 or so?

Yes a tripod was used. I have photoshop elements and know very little on how to use it. I adjusted the colors slightly on a couple of photos because the camera lightened the colors.
I tried not to go over what the coral looks like naturally. Which ones look blown out to you?
Most shots were taken w/ Amp set to 6 and ISO between 100 to 250.
On the Captain Americans I couldn't seem to get the red centers. And I'm finding it hard to get a decent shot of corals further back in the tank like the blue zoas.
I'm using my friends old macro lens. Haven't tried adding the 2x zoom to the macro yet.

I would like to take some shots of my other tank that is all LED. Only problem I have is it is very heavy on blue lights and makes taking pictures very hard. Any suggestions on camera settings?

Nice job on the macros What format are you shooting in jpeg or RAW? If you shoot in RAW when you open the file up in the editor you can adjust your white balance and exposure. After that just open the image on up and once done editing save a copy as a jpeg.
