Hi -

Those of us with macro lenses - heck any lens - know how hard it is to follow a fish around and keep them in focus. Any tips? It seems like hand holding the camera is the way to go for fish vs a tripod which works fine for coral.

I made a video on what *I* know - but I'm alllllll ears on ways to get better at this.

this may sound stupid but hook yourself up with one of those slings ppl get when they break their arm and cinch it up it will give you stability shot height and better focus.

That seems like it'd be super restrictive - no? I know the trick of "making your body into a tripod" - but then how do you follow your fish around the tank? My tank is 7 feet wide..

It did occur to me this morning that perhaps the trick is just taking a couple hours of footage of the fish - I do get some good sequences - and then I could edit them together removing the parts that are out of focus. That might be the only way?
