Macroalgae and Chemi-pure blue

I am currently running Chemi-pure blue as part of my filtration, but I am about to get my first Macro-Algae. Should I stop running the Chemi-pure or at least change to a different type such as Original or Green?

The chemi pure just had carbon which won’t affect the macro algea. And some resin to soak up some phosphates and break down some organics. You can keep it in as long as you keep your nitrates and phosphates in range. Phopshates(.04-.1) nitrates(10-20).
