Can anyone tell me what kind of macro? algae this is?

Atleast I'm assuming it's macro...

Be sure it can be very invasive. Unless you scrubbed rock with peroxide, it will come back.
It was not attached to the rock. It was attached to another piece of algae/plant, and was just dangling at the end of it. I just trimmed the other piece and removed it. So there shouldn't be anything left behind.

I liked it. Next time send it to me.
PS: there is nothing wrong with having some algae in your tank.

I have an algae friendly tank. The cyano also gets along fine with everything.

That's cool. It was already started to grow a lot, that's why I got rid of it. I did like the way it looked tho.

Maybe if it grows back, I'll let it stay and just keep a close eye on it.
