Will this work for macroalgae on my nuvo 60g?

Note this is for the display.

Yes, seems like it will work, keeping in mind your tank's depth and its overall watts. You don't say what types of macroalgaes, but light does have options for both green and red *IF* you go into its DIY mode to access other colors.

Hoping you share photos of your planted display tank! I love to see macroalgae in main tanks! I grow mine off to the side and it sump because otherwise my tangs would decimate. Mine also are healthy, but I'm not artistic and their grown as food/snacks for my tangs. I can get away with just using grow light:

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID).

Below is info and links they gave me when I was new on how to make a Build Thread and then claim badge:

One fun way to learn from others and keep a record of your reef aquarium is to create your very own build thread! A build thread is just a thread that tells us about your aquarium and might include photos. You can create your build thread in one of these forums. MEMBER'S AQUARIUMS

Once you have created a build thread then you can get your VERY FIRST USER BADGE! YAY! It's easy to do and I have created a thread that tells you how to do it here: BUILD THREAD BADGE

I don't know if a build thread is possible as the tank has been up for 3 years and once the prior radion Gen 4 died I switched to fish only for a bit. I am just now getting back into the invert side. I am hoping macroalgae will look good. I was thinking blue hypnea, halimeda sp., and one of the red types perhaps. I might just do one type and let it coat the tank.

A build thread is your own, personal thread. You can start it whenever and use it however. It is never too late, and it is always possible to start a build thread. Even if you just copy/paste what you had here, voila you've started :)

To me, what is interesting is going back and looking at what I wrote and pictured a year, two years etc .. in the past.
