Macroalgaes & Skimmers

So I have a forty gallon breeder and am going to be getting a pair of seahorses. I plan to have lots of macroalgae along with some Gorgonians, Mushrooms, and Zoanthids. Since the macroalgaes absorb as well as need nitrates and phosphates and I plan to have lots of them, do I need a skimmer?

Skimmers remove a lot of stuff that macro algae can not remove. Heavy metals, toxins, chemicals are just a few things macro algae can’t remove that a skimmer will remove. I’m running a skimmer and cheato reactor on my tank and get great growth.
