So i have theese clowns and to me they look the same as Madagascars, they were brand new a store had just got them in at 30$ each, i bought two so my question is did i score?? The store regularly brings in imports so its not unlikely but it would be strange no?

Beautiful pair! That’s a score to me. How do you like the carpet anemone? I’m looking for one myself.

Love the carpet!! My favorite type of anemone ihave a few healthy ones if youre looking for one? Theyre not expensive

Post a picture of the side straight on. There was some availability of cb latifs not long ago. I doubt your lfs brought in wc.

Ill try and get a picture of them! Theyre very fast and hate seeing me at the glass haha that would be cool if they were but im not banking on it

Me neither. From what I can see they look like a.clarkii.

Im no clown expert anemones are my expertise so i cant tell “sebae” from Madagascar theyre all clarkii complex but thats where its stops for me haha

I see the difference in the tails now, definitely not madagascar

I am not sure why she groups skunks with clarkii. That guide is pretty old. Usually, we refer to perideraion, akallopisos and sandaracinos as skunks.

If you click on clarkii image, you will see many regional variants for this species.

It gets even more complicated once you throw in hosting anemone, which might induce further color change in clowns :)
