I purchased two AC Tunze power heads, got one of them up and running and it’s way too much for my tank. Corals were getting blasted.

Is there a way to turn them down even though they’re not controllable?

something like this maybe:

Hahaha the wife would kill me. But I won the tank I have now so I’ll be riding this one out for a long time
I started with a goldfish I won at the county fair......125Gallons later.......
try mounting on back wall as already suggested...and maybe behind some rock

I have a peninsula so the only place I want it is in the back wall. Tried several directions but it’s just too much. I’ll probably send them back and get a controllable one

You can always trim the impeller down for lower flow but it’s a permanent thing.
That is an interesting concept. I imagine in paractice it would be difficult to achieve perfect balance on each fin to avoid wobble and noise, premature wear, etc. Have you done it successfully?

I’ve done it to many pumps it’s not hard with a dremel
