I know that there are other tutorials out there but I was bored today and thought I would share my reef food recipe for anyone who may be interested. I make this food so everything in the tank gets a helping of something and everyone has always loved it so I keep doing it. This can be modified in any way to fit your livestock list. I also have what may be an upper hand since I live on the gulf coast and can get most of this stuff fresh and locally sourced.

Manufactured ingredients:
Pygmy Angel Blend
Baby Brine Shrimp
PE Mysis
Cyclops
Plankton
Seafood mix from fish market (Squid, Octopus, Mussles, Krab- I dont include the Krab) I advise rinsing this stuff well. $2.50 for the whole bag which is enough for 2 big batches of food.
NLS Pellets

Local Fresh Ingredients:
Mullet Roe (I stock up on this when in season. My fish go ape when I feed this)
Shrimp
Bay Scallops
Clams

I Put all of the smaller particle premade stuff in a bowl to thaw while I prepare the larger ingredients.

Can't seem to find the seafood mix pack at local grocery stores. Any suggestions on where I may be able to procure it in San Diego?

Why cooked shrimp?
It is not cooked shrimp. They are raw local shrimp that I buy fresh and then freeze for easier chopping.

Asian markets are a great place for this stuff.

I do it all while the wife is away and clean up real well....lets just say I do not make smoothies in there but someone else might.

Do you leave the shells on anything? I though for some trigger fish and other aggressive types the shells are more natural.
