MadMax's humble Mixed Reef (photographs)

I decided to pick up my i-Phone tonight and snap a dozen or so photographs of my mixed reef.
The Tank is a Redsea MAX650, 175-gal. glass display and sump, coast-to-coast overflow, and 800 watts of T5 lighting

(Blue Spotted Jaw Fish are incredibly comical in nature...but notorious jumpers too!)

(Electric Scallops still never fail to intrigue me....they're simply awesome creatures!)

(Blue-Spotted/Yellow-Tang Jungle Fever. Don't you be judging them now! LOL!)

(This Last one is my favorite. Its got to be THE most colorful photo I've ever taken!)

:clap2: I love the RedSea products I started in the reef hobby with the smallest I believe it was a 37 gallon but after that I could no longer afford them! Great looking tank!

And I was just saying how much I miss my BS Jaw they are amazing fish! I was thinking about doing another in my next 40 breeder project but like you said they are such the carpet surfers and I have only ever kept them in a 160 or bigger and they never seemed to jump. I think depth of tank is key for them.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Yes, the Blue Spotted Jaw Fish is one of my favorite fish too because of how animated and comical they are. They look like little hand-puppets sticking out of the sand, LOL! But as you mentioned, if the tank is not large enough or another fish stresses them out then you may wake up to an expensive piece of fish jerky laying on your carpet one morning. I have been fortunate enough to have TWO of them build their burrows and stay put for now....seemingly very happy.
