Mag 7 rattling noise

So my return pump took a dump today and I had a backup mag 7 so I installed it and this is the first time it's ever been plugged in but it rattles like crazy I took the front cover off and inspected it and everything looks right the only thing I can think of is that I'm using half inch PVC for return line and maybe there's too much back pressure ????? Is there any way to fix this rattling noise has anybody else had this happen ??

Are you sure all the air was purged from the impeller housing?

Make sure your impeller is seated fully in the rubber grommets in the cover and base.

I had a similar issue with mine, and it was the fact that one of the grommets had split, and the impeller was chattering from the excess play...

I took it apart and it seems like it's seated properly. The rattle is so annoying

Faulty impeller.
Mostlikly when you change it out the noise will be gone.

Does it make a difference that this one is the pond mag version ?
