She has been wondering around side of the pedestal after dark or before the light is on. Lights are on @10am. Once the lights are on she pretty much stay put on top of the pedestal. Thoughts? Is this going to continue. At one time she almost moved to the sand bed.

These guys move looking for suitable habitat. If it is trying to relocate then it wants something ( light or current flow) that’s missing there? How long have you had it?

Beautiful mag!!! If you have access to a PAR meter from your local LFS or club you need to shoot for around 400-500 PAR where the mag is. My large mag is right under a kessil 360 with supplemental T5 lights and even with that I’m sure it would love more! My other mag is bleached and recovering so the PAR is around 380.

That's a beautiful tank! I didn't think it was possible to have so many corals so close together.Beautiful mag!!! If you have access to a PAR meter from your local LFS or club you need to shoot for around 400-500 PAR where the mag is. I have a bleached Mag that walked for about a month or 2 and did serval lap around the tank. Honestly I think it was testing its environment for the best place because mine was as low as the sand bed and at the top of the glass. Its also been in the darkest nd lowest flow spots along with the highest flow and light spots. Most of the time it did like your and would move at night and stay put in a spot until lights out. Currently its been in the same spot for a few weeks now and I hope it stays but either way it will move and stay where it wants for that day

Hi. It's hard, if not futile, to find a perfect set of parameters to ensure that anemones will stay put. We have all seen an anemone staying for months then suddenly moving. We have also seen anemones split from the same specimen choosing completely different spots in the same tank.
One trick I have seen that worked: use a turkey baster to blow/poke/irritate/chase the anemone until it hides/plants its root in a crevice. If it settles, great. If not, use the turkey baster to block its exits. After a few attempts there is great chance that the anemone will stay there for a bit.

Cool. It looks like mine just doing the same thing, exploring.
