Looks like its tearing itself in 2... long strip of flesh in between ... waiting to see if another mouth appears or its just stretching to move itself ...? IDK?

PEA is THE place to get a good mag ...

Thanks!

I've got more coming Monday. Also, some of those crazy bright purple malu.

We've got our export permit for our own station in the Ha'Apai islands. That's where the really nice, and healthy, anemones come from.

And, this is really crazy, and I didn't know until recently, they eat the mags there! During their festival season, divers go to these islands to especially collect mags to eat at the feasts. Sounds pretty gross to me!

Cool! I'm very happy with my mag from PEA. Yours looks quite fat and happy.

Thanks!

I'm thinking you need to make a trip there - in person- so you can taste this delicacy first hand ...lol

Good news , gentlemen : upon closer inspection this evening = it DOES appear to be splitting ...wondering if its no coincidence we have a full moon tonight ?

My mag got to that stage twice and then closed back up. It was the weirdest thing and it never did end up splitting. Hopefully you have a successful full split.

I've seen that particular color morph split a few times. I had one that was about 90% into the split, then stopped. I decided to help it the final 10% by cutting it, and both were fine.

It's about 90 % right now.. the "mother " is larger and the split one is smaller .. smaller one has mouth already .. I expect it to finish..

Seems to be stagnant at 90% ... looks like its straining to complete the split .. but unable so far

Fully Split Now ...as of this morning...last strip of anemone flesh completely severed...hope it all heals now...they are BOTH looking good !

Thanks!
