Mag test

Just curiuos what magnesium test kit you prefer? I have been using salifert and thinking of going with a different company next time. I personlly have noticed more variations then i would like sometime as much as 1500 ppm off from reference samples. Any input would be helpful.

I've used Salifert for MG for about a year now, no problems. Are you sure you're testing properly? Defective kit?

I use Salifert as well. It seems to be very accurate (repeatable at least), since I don't use a different test to double check. One issue I had early on was that I would assume that the mag was in line and dump most of the syringe in, then slow down and go drop by drop for the final number. Sometimes I would overshoot my mark and add too much right off the bat. Now I try to get it close being mindful not to add too much initially, and add more drop by drop for a really accurate test.

I have been using salifert for i dont know 5 years. Just thought i would see what most are using. Im doing some research on the other availible tests. I have also used seachem in the past but that test is kind of a pain to use.
