Maggie's Mixed Reef Build V3, now a 75!

The local site allows you access to all the under the hood stuff that’s missing from the one over the internet for obvious reasons of security.
There is a setting page that allows you to return the head unit to factory settings.

Wait... The local site for the apex, not the router? I'm so confused. Where am I?

I was suggesting you use the router page to help you find the apex page on your local network.
But if you can just go to the apex page do it.

Ok I think I get it. So the app for my router only shows things that are logged in wirelessly (first pic ), the only thing actually plugged into the router is the apex.

And the router's page, I don't know where to look? I clicked on everything but didn't see anything about what's logged in. (Second pic)

Some of the items in the menu may help show the local IPs in use. Look for anything like 192.168.0.x
Just put that IP into your browser address bar with an http:// in front of it. You're only hitting things behind your router when you use addresses in that format (LAN - local area network). And delete that image with your (wide area network) WAN info and router make & model.

I tried all the ones provided and none worked. I looked at this section and tried all those. Looked again from my phone on the app and found one wired connection in the client list, typed it in, and now am at this road block. What username does it need? I tried the one I used for the fusion website, but no go.

So I did that. and it was a long time of blank white screen with an orange thinking circle. Then it gave me the 'taking to long to load...' page. I thought i f'd up for sure. went t the fusion site and big error saying apex disconnected. slight panic the i thought, it probably did that with the initialization? went to the apex lit, deleted, re-linked and its working again on the fusion site, including correctly reading the temp because i added the probe to test it. But i've lost connection to the local site, did the number change during the wipe clean?

The fusion site definitely looks different now, so something worked. not a bunch of errors and alerts, no notifications of missing modules. Now i just got to figure out a ton more.

Just reload your browser.

ok; so think about the apex as being a little computer that is hosting a web server and and an application server.
sometimes they need to restart to reload new settings. Its not really an active connection, just a request response kind of situation so when you restart it it doesn't know you were a client.

Work in Progress:

I'm far too stupid to understand that analogy.

Reloaded browser. No local apex site. Closed and opened browser. No access.

But fusion is fine on desktop and mobile.

Anywho, first a couple questions, why are the times different? I have the correct time zone entered through the display.

And what is the first tile representing? And why am I getting readings for 2 ph probes, I have none plugged in. Can I remove those?

it got a new ip address when it restarted... like a mobile home.

try this:

if you've a newer router it may be setup.

those are all configuration things.
click the lock in upper right and throw those in the drawer.

I ended up finding the new IP, my phone app shows it intermittently.

Thanks for all your help so far, this is way harder than I thought.
its only hard once then you know it. the amp thing above is the power consumption for the powerbar

Ok @Projects with Sam , I'm think I'm ready to use apex outlets. My current needs for plug ins are:
2 lights (don't need programming since they have thier own, the noopsyches)
1 return pump
2 power heads
1 heater, currently running through an inkbird also.

The outlets are powered, I've checked with a power head. But, how do I assign names for each outlet. Is that all I need to do? And will they automatically show as tiles on the dashboard?

Don't laugh yet @fishguy242 , I might still need to borrow a hammer from ya for smashing, lol.
