Maggot looking things in my overflow!!

Pineapple sponges. Perfectly harmless filter feeders. Common in overflows and sumps. Sign of a healthy system
 
LOL they are not that gross. Simple invasion of a harmless sponge. Typically live in the cryptic zones and die back as the tank ages.
 
Oh thank Gawd!! Haha after a run in with velvet I didn’t want to hear anymore bad news.

I do have one more question since you seem to be helping me out a lot lately. I have these little white things on the back of my tank. They don’t move, the snails don’t seem to touch them and just today I notice very small blue things that litterally look like insects. Can’t really get a better pic though.

White things are likely spirobid worms. Also harmless filter feeder. If they get in the way, just scrape them off. I clean them off my front and side glass but leave them on the back glass.
