i know i know eventually one will turn into a psychopath and murder the rest but its not super uncommon for folks to have groups of chromis in their tanks so i wanna try and see what happens. with that said what's the magic number y'all have had success with? i think i read somewhere that an odd number is 1 key to success
tank is a RSR 625...5'x25''x25''

thanks

Not sure on the magic number, but I have always thought the odd number thing was a myth for basically all shoaling/schooling fish. I’m pretty sure they don’t know how to count how many are in their shoal.

the Blue Green Reef Chromis does best in similar environments and will actively swim at all levels of the aquarium water column. In fact, a small school of Blue Green Reef Chromis comprised of at least six individuals adds a dazzling and dramatic shimmer of beauty to almost any well-established reef system
I’ve read 5 somewhere else as well.
Good luck I’ve thought of a small group to school but unsure about adding so many to my 75 at one shot. Would be some great movement in the tank

Go with a few longspine cardinals. I have nine in my tank and they actually look really nice under LEDs. Not a super colorful fish but they definitely look much better in person than in pics. They also don’t kill each other so that’s always nice.
