magician's paly loosing it's magic

got some magician's paly from a friend. its lost its color due to something in his tank. im trying to bring it back to color. now the problem is he had t5's. i have mh and it seems like its loosing the little white spots on it. what's going on?

t5's to halides are a huge jump, you are probably bleaching it if you havent acclimated it properly. keep it in a shady area and bring it out little by little

it was on t5's. the bleeched there cause of my friend's tank. something was wrong with it. but been keeping it low in the tank. only 12" high tank. but seems like some of them are losing the white speckles on them.

I think they get the white speckles in high light?
