I guess I can understand why they call them magicians, it's hard to believe that these are the same zoas in just a couple weeks (top is under 10K MHs, bottom is actinics. I have to look at them tomorrow when the MHs are on but does the light change the centers that radically?

Yea, mine under my mh were decent, but under the led bulbs the centers just blew up. Likely a similar reaction to light.

I like them both ways but the pic on the actinics isn't so great but to me they look really cool with the gold centers

I bought 1 polyp 2.5 years ago and can proudly say It finally had a baby last month so in 2.5 years I now have 2 polyps lol

All zoas can morph under differnet lighting and water conditions. Though, with the growing popularity of LED's I'm finding this happening less and less. Probably, because I use LED's as well.

Hmm, interesting that you all say they are slow growers. I bought a frag with about 4 polyps 6 months ago and now have about 20!

crazy, these things grow like a weed for me...I had 2 or 3 baby's in a few weeks...

I agree with them growing like weeds. I brought 2 polyps a year ago. I have a huge colony thsts been fragged plenty if times. frags of 3 polyps.

I bought a two polyp frag mid January and it spit out a baby the following week. This week I have another polyp with to more nubs coming out. Mine also catch mysis on occasion.

i purplsely feed them mysis, rotifers, and cyclops. They need stagnant water to better grab hold of it and close up around it.
