Hi everyone. I had a red Sea magnesium additive. It is absorbing lot of moisture from the air and is now a solid lump. Is it changed in its chemical composition now? Can I still use it or I have to buy a new one. It dissolves in water quickly. Thanks in advance. [emoji38]

To be honest with you I'm not sure if it would be a problem or not. I always error on the side of caution. Personally I'd throw it out and buy new.

It is fine. magnesium salts are very hygroscopic (absorb moisture from the air), but there is no change in the chemical composition.
