Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone knows the safe magnesium and alkalinity levels are supposed to be in a 75g with a 29g refugium and what I have to do to adjust safely and accordingly and to keep them at a good level?

How about in a 8 gallon reef as well. Thanks for posting this . I was just about to ask . Best lvls to have my 8 gallon at mag and ALK . And best ways to raise them both and lower the if needed to.

Gpdno, what do you have in your tank as far as corals? How do you keep it maintained at that level

I dose daily using my Apex and BRS dosers. Basically, I measured my Magnesium, Alk, and Calcium. I waited one week and checked my levels again. From that I know what my weekly consumption is and then divide by seven days. This is my daily dosing. I check my levels every week and make minor adjustments as needed.

First you have to find out how much of each is being used up. How much of a drop are you seeing on a weekly bases? Only way to doing this is by testing daily. Then if dosing is required you go from there.
Most times regular water changes is a sufficient way of replacing depleted elements. Most tanks that require dosing are those with a lot of SPS & LPS.
