Is a magnesium reading of 1440 ppm too high? I've removed and replaced my sandbed over the last 3 weeks resulting in more water changes than usual and I have only ever dosed magnesium once which was 1 month ago which got my level to my target of 1300.
Alk is 9.6 and calc is 460.

Should I act or leave it be and hope it lowers...

Thanks

Mine is also at 1440, up from 1400 a few weeks ago. Changes made since then were adding some coral, copepods/phytoplankton and a couple fish. Calcium/alk remained the same and are good. Trying to figure out why ours went up. We were told back in the beginning to aim for 1400 for mixed reef.

Mine is at 1600 and so what.....

At some level close to or a bit above that, snails are reported to be lethargic, which presumably is not a good sign.

An increase of 40 is well within my testing error / repeatability zone. If you ain’t added any, you ain’t added any, in my book.

Agreed. Thanks for the input. Nice to be reassured now and then.
