I read something about magnesium burn, which means that LPS would start receding tissue if mag. is too high. I wonder if this is true. Can anyone share your magnesium level of your LPS tank? If your mag. is over 1500. do you see any tissue issue with your chalices, favias, or acans. Thanks!

According to my test records, I have had two reading where my magnesium was over 1500. One was 1525 and the other was 1600. When I got those readings, I wrote them off as user error but I have had no trouble keeping LPS thriving in those conditions.

People keep Mag at 1600 to keep Bryopsis out. I ha ve had mine up at 1500 with no ill effects to my LPS.
