Magnesium chloride for DIY mag

Been searching far and wide for the best magnesium chloride for Randy's recipe for magnesium supplement.

My fears are using one that is full of impurities, heavy metals, ammonia etc..... So, what's everyone using and what made you pick it? Was it fellow reefers recommendations, personal research, etc.......

Is over the counter, mass produced good? Pharmaceutical or laboratory grade better? What's safe, what is everyone using and where did you get it from?

One concern with magnesium chloride is ammonia as an impurity.

I use MgCl2 from BRS.
