Is it acceptable for a 29g medium stocked mixed reef with a few sps frags. To get magnesium to drop from 1260-1230ppm in a month and a half? Im going to be slowly raising it to 1350. Already raised to 1300. Im getting maybe .1 dkh consumption per day. Im currently dosing all for reef and its keeping my alk at 8.0. My calc is at 420. Im know your not supposed to chase numbers but im going to raise it to 440. Im using tropic marin pro and coral pro mixed 3/2 until i use up all the coral pro. Mixes to around 8.0 dkh for me. Then im going to switch to hw marine. (Closer alk)

Real magnesium consumption is about 1/10th of the calcium consumption rate and would rarely be more than 2 ppm per day.
if the alk decline is 0.1 dKH per day, magnesium won’t drop significantly at all.
