Magnesium daily usage high?

I am still fairly new to the hobby so please be patient with me.

So I just recently started to pay attention to my magnesium levels due to a sad looking branching hammer. I only have 2 duncans, 2 branching hammers, about 10 or so mushrooms, 3 zoas, a Kenya tree, a micro favia, 3 gsp grags and a maxi mini carpet nem. I am battling green hair algeaa after getting dinos and was told to raise mag. Up to 1500 so thats what i am trying to do. Would it be normal to use 160 in just 2 days? I performed my test twice and it came back the same each time. I went ahead and dosed 50ml of mag to bring it up 25ppm but I'm unsure if this is actually normal usage for so little corals.

I also have only 3 fish, 2 turbos, 2 nassarius and 3 bumble bees.

Also, magnesium won't do anything for hair algae. That idea comes from using Kent tech m, a magnesium supplement in which is seemed contained some contaminant or impurity that killed bryopsis

Red sea foundation pro. I did the test and my husband thought I messed up again. So then he did the test and got the exact same thing.

Fluconazole is the better treatment. It also kills derbesia hair algae

I would just dose once you go below 1280ish. You may just be running into preciseness issues.
