I am using Randy's 2 part recipe #2. Looking for info on what ratio of MG I should be dosing. Say I'm adding 30ml daily, how much MG should I add. I was thinking around 5ml. I could be way off.

Recipe #2 requires 305 mL of either Mg Part 3 for every gallon (3785 mL) of Parts 1 and 2 added, so the ratio is 305 / 3785 = 0.08 = 8%. For 30 mL of Part 1 plus 30 mL of Part 2 daily, then it would be 30 * 0.08 = 2.4 mL daily of Part 3.

On paper, you've got the answer above. However, in practice it requires testing and adding what your tank needs.....especially with magnesium.....taking into account the brand of salt you are using. I also use Randy's recipes and add very little magnesium, because I'm getting it in the salt I use, and the frequent water changes. So test first to determine what you need to dose.

Awesome thanks.
