Magnesium drop

What causes magnesium to drop. I would have it at 1400 then daily it would drop around 100ppm. I dose with tech M and brightwell magnesion. I would have it around 1300 and think I'm good then the next day it would drop. It was my understanding you don't need to dose mag. As much. How much mag do people running 2-part add daily. I have a 40b w 20L sump. 45g of water volume. A bunch of Sps but probably not overweight. Thanks.

I dose monthly but if I dosed daily it might be 5% of the daily amount of the two part.
