Magnesium level

Hi there,

I am rising my kh and Ca levels recently and I am only dosing kh and ca using AF calcium and kh buffers. however my magnesium level is fluctuating between 1410 and 1470, and I do not does Magnesium. It will be like 1420 the first day and 1450 in the following day. Any ideas?

PH: 8.2
KH: 8.7
Ca: 465
Mag: 1445
NO3: 1
PO4: 0.01

The tests aren't very accurate. I really wouldn't worry about it as long as it is above 1300ish you are good.

I was thinking about the same thing, but that's quite a jump so I am a bit worried. Thanks.

I keep my magnesium in that range. And as Hudu said, magnesium tests seem to have a wide range of answers between test kits (sometimes +/-100ppm)

that's a reasonable range but it sometimes rises for no obvious reasons.

Like hudu said, the tests can range in answers, sometimes up to 100 points

That cannot be anything except salinity changes or test error. Magnesium does not fluctuate.
