magnesium problem

I have 70 gal tank:
- ph : 7,90/night time/with refugium light on -8.10/noon.......
- 9 dkh
- 400 calcium
- 1120 mag
-- I dose 1,2 qt kalw plus 30 ml magnesium additive everyday ( 10 gal water change every week)
My questions :
- why my tank consume magnesium so fast
- i think my magnesium level is a little too low.........all my corals look good except chalice have a litte problem

make sure you get a high quality Mag test kit. Mag testers are notorious for being inaqurate. I only dose mag once a week and it should be the least amount of additive that you should be dosing.
