Magnesium Reagent

Omg!! I accidentally put May 1ml of the Magnesium reagent into my 16 gallon tank!!! It’s been maybe 2 minutes, and nothing happened so far. But should I do anything??

So far, still no reaction from fish or coral. But I’m worried.

1ml:16g = 1:60560 dilution. I wouldn't worry too much about it regardless of what the reagent is.

Sure, carbon never hurts - I run it 24/7/365 regardless, but I hardly see this as a reason to panic.

Continue carbon and also have water tested to see what reading you are getting for Magnesium. That will determine if the current level is safe

lol I think he 'dosed' some magnesium checking reagent, not actual magnesium.

Carbon won't do a thing to remove Magnesium supplement, and due to the dilution factor, not much to remove the reagent, whatever it might be.

That’s what I figured and I still panicked. But, as you said, all was well. Didn’t do anything. But put my security cam on the tank because I was out all day. Thanks for the laugh. [emoji1787][emoji1787]
