A few weeks ago, all my bristle worms started to lose mobility. Some fell off the rocks onto the sandbed, and the rest came out of the sand.
They accumulated into small piles, eventually dying. I had to vacuum out a large part of the sandbed to avoid spiking my nutrients.
After a few small water changes with IO RC, I tested my magnesium and it came at 1530. I had dosed magnesium 10 days earlier, with the intention of bringing it from 1275>1500, but I suspect it went well over 1500.
It’s been almost a month now and no bristle worm in sight. I lost a couple of snails but corals look happy, especially my torches and my gonis.
Did the high magnesium spike wipe out my bristle worms?
