Hello was wondering what kind of mag could i add to my Randy 2 part calcium, in C-balance the CA&MG are in the same mixture how can i do the same ?

You cannot make a balanced two part by (just) adding magnesium to the calcium part (hence the reason it is a three part) because you cannot add any sulfate into the calcium part.

If you want to do this, you have to use just magnesium chloride, and you will slowly depress sulfate relative to chloride.

Ok thanks alot..we're do you buy mag sulphate it's not in drug stores around were I am. Is it use for agriculture or some were I can but bulk

You have looked for "Epsom Salt"? At least in the US, every drug store carries it.

Oh kk were do you buy the chloride I looked I couldn't find it anywhere

I use your 2 part have for a bit trying to get the right mag , was using C-balance before if it throws the sulphate ratio out is it a bad product over the long run?

C-balance is a fine product to use, at least based on its description. It should have sulfate in the alkalinity part.

Do you live in the US? if so, and if you cannot find MAG Flake, I'd buy it from BRS or Dr Foster and Smith, etc. I got it from BRS.

Yep that is the hard part to find.

I finally found a local industrial chemical supplier who could ship in 50 pound bags and didn't charge for shipping. Costs a few years back was ~$20 for a 50 pound bag.

there are the sources listed above like brs and the like.

Magnesium chloride is also sold as an expensive ice melter. Be sure to check the ingredients to insure it is 100% magnesium chloride and not a blend of magnesium chloride, calcium chloride, and/or sodium chloride.

But bottom line is the magnesium chloride is the hard one to find.

ty, wondering what magnesium chloride is used for outside the reefing world so i can buy it bulk for cheaper

Ice melting is what MAG Flake is sold for. :)

Perfect il look for some being in canada and winter comming shouldn't be to hard to find [emoji5]

Actually, depending on where you are in Canada, it can be difficult to find. Most brands here in Canada contain a mixture of chemicals, including urea. I've spent a lot of time looking for a pure form of ice melt and haven't been able to find it. People in other cities have been luckier.

Oh well that sucks
from google search magnesium chloride Canada:

from a blog:
I just bought a bag of Absolute Zero Melt Down ice melter by Envirotech Services Inc to use in conjunction with Magnesium Sulfate on my reef aquarium. The product claims to be 100% Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate and free of toxic metals and substances. It was $27 for a 50 lbs bag at Amco Wholesale here in Prince George.

Does anyone have any experience with this product?

from another:
I've been using this road salt for 3 years: http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...esium+chloride I'm able to buy it from a local hardware store called Amco Wholesale. They used to call it Absolute Zero Meltdown but now its called Safe Step Magnesium Chloride Ice Melter. Its sold in a 50lbs bag for about $30 and I've gone through close to two bags of it while mixing it with Magnesium Sulfate.
