Who uses magnetic rock stations around here? Who are some of the vendors who now sells these that would work on 3/4" glass/acrylic. I'm out of room and need to add a few.

I got some from Aquamags. Cheapest ones I found (really didn't want to spend $100+ on a single mag rock). Really can't put anything heavy on them, and each size is the same shape.. was hoping they'd be more diverse in shapes. Had it in my tank for about 4 or 5 months now.

Thanks for the suggestion, so have they fallen down at all? That would be my worry as I would like them to eventually hold large sps colonies.

they haven't moved with coral weight that I've noticed. I've added a small rock with coral to one of the smaller pieces (on the side of the tank), it hasn't slid down.. But they do move if you bump into it with your hand. it's not very tight on the glass.

I just picked up a large frag station from Alternate Reef - which states that it will hold on 3/4" glass. Its only been in the tank since Saturday, but the magnets are really heavy duty and both of them hold the station still. They are a bit pricey ($125 on Amazon), but its really nice and has a crazy free form look to it. I'll snap a picture of it tonight, but there's 18 or so 2-4" sps frags that dont cause it to move at all.

Thanks ksfulk, i'm familiar with AR and i'm looking at some of their structure's. I know the magnets will hold as Scot uses extremely powerful one's. How far out in the tank do they extend?

There are various sizes of stations. Check AR for them and let me know if you would like some. I can help you get what want as I sell them. Having a new website built so just send a message when you decide, TNT Corals.

Alternative Reef mag rocks are great. I have 4 of them. With those magnets that shelf is not going anywhere. They are extremely strong. You wont regret it
