I am using magnets to hold my float for ATO . Is there any concerns I should be worried about with the magnets in the water

Go to a hobby shop, the RC airplane section, and get some 2 part epoxy that you mix. The longer the set time, the stronger the glue. Epoxy ranges from 5 minute to 24 hours, a 1 hour mix should be plenty. Make sure to let it cure overnight.

Home Depot

Loctite - marine, has blue cardboard on teh back of it. 24hr cure

should be 5 bucks

It really depends on what type of magnets.
If they are ceramic magnets they are usually considered reef safe.
I've been using the 2"x1"x1/2" ceramic magnets in my tanks for years with no apparent harm.
Do you know what yours are?

Rare earth magnets aka, neodymium magnets are sometimes coated and from what I've read the coating is made up of nickel and copper ,
