I have a 360 gal main that is made of 1.25 thick acrylic. trouble is that If I want to add a power head to blow on my rocks or use one of those frozen food dispensers and the nori magnetic holder I am just out of luck. I did find a place called mighty magnets that make cleaners for real thick aquariums and boy do they work great.
But still I wish I could find a magnet that I could use to hold a power head or a nori feeder on the outside of my tank.

2"x2" n52 neo?

I use those in my wind turbines :-)

Look online for n52 neo there are some good sources.
I get mine off ebay
Ohh and it may look better with a 2" round n52
these things are nasty so keep your finger out from between them!

I found some on line, How thick would you suggest

Oh my I wouldn't go too thick you will never get it off but 1/4 is what I use in my application.
just beware if you get 2 2" ones together they may not come apart with a LOT of force

Jesus you are talking about some extremely strong magnets twilliard lol that'll crush your hand lol

Lol you but they will sure hold!
I have been building turbines for years and neo's are the best when it comes to magnetic flux distance.
he wanted something that would work so I advised.
he can get lower N grades but would be trial and error

Heck ya they will.

To OP if you go this route glue felt on the magnet cause the only way you will separate is to "slide" it away
