Ahoy there one and all,
I recently found a decaying magnet in my salt water aquarium and want to start a discussion on the effects and what kind of things that can be done to prevent this. I'm wondering if this is just an isolated incident or have others ran into this issue as well.
Looking forward to seeing how others respond.
Im including a picture of the culprit.
Thanks

I've experienced a similar situation that nearly wiped out every stony coral in a past system. It was caused by a magnetic thermometer that wasn't even under the water line except for at feeding time. All I can recommend is vigilance and regular inspection of all magnets.
