Magnets underwater

Howdy, I'm thinking of mounting a gyre pump on the back panel of my IM 25 lagoon tank. I'm a little worried about the "outside" magnet being under water. Has anyone done this?

Howdy! I have a Biocube 32 for a year and have a Hygger Mini on the back wall with the mounting magnet submerged in the first chamber of the rear sump. The Mini's mounting magnet is sealed. Had similar concerns but nothing turned up in research...
