Magnets

I hope this isn't a dumb question. Looking for recommendations or experiences with Magnets strong enough to hold through 1 inch glass and withstand salt water (as the magnet will be in water).

If you go to the KJ Magnetcs website and look under sealed Ni magnets there are some options. Not cheap though. I have 1" walls and the following will work. Once the frag grows, even these may torque off the walls.

I am trying to hold a powerhead..... think they would be to small?

I’m not sure how much help I can be. I found rare earth magnets on amazon. They have a bunch of shapes, sizes, and strengths. I think the ones I got were N45 (I didn’t use them on 1” glass though). Any magnet you put in your tank will need to be coated either with plastic or epoxy. Just know that it’s not unheard of that they can become cracked and start leaching metals into the tank.

Hmmn, yeah, maybe. You could buy the magnet set from the apex WAV (form their parts store). That'd hold on 1".

Just get some neodymium magnets and coat In GE Silicone 1. They are Pretty strong and work great.
