Magnifica 10 Weeks Update

I bought a mag from LA 10 weeks ago. It was advertised to be an African mag.
When it arrived it looks like this.

After cipro treatment and into the DT.
I placed it high up, but it kept moving down eventhough I already reduce the light intensity to 10% and changed the flow to reduce direct flow to the spot.

10 weeks later, it is in the same spot I originally placed it. It has stayed put for about 3 weeks.

Nice recovery on mag, did not look very nice in first pic but sure looks good now!

Agreed, when I saw the gaping mouth I thought unhappy ending, but wow it looks good not. What is your lighting and feeding schedule like?

I'm using Viparspectra Chinese blackbox. It was good when I first started out in this hobby. Now I want to upgrade to the high end LED.

I only feed it twice so far. I don't plan on feeding going forward. Even though I ordered a medium, this guy is about 10" across. I don't want it to to grow.

Nice magnifica! Mine looked similar when I got it shipped, but inflated and closed its mouth within 24 hours. Glad yours has such a good recovery. Nice work on the cipro treatment! Will you get any clowns for it to host?

I have a black and white ocellaris. So far it hasn't take to any anemone yet. I have a mag, a haddoni and a bunch on BTAs. I added a juvie maroon clownfish 3 weeks a go. It went direct into the BTA. I'm waiting for the black and white to do the same.
